Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) drives ambitious climate action in the private sector by enabling organizations to set science-based emissions reduction targets.

Goal:

  • Simplo Group’s near-term emissions reduction targets (1.5°C scenario) are approved by the SBTi in 2023.

  • Reduce absolute scope1 and 2 GHG emissions 51% by 2030 from a 2020 base year.

  • Reduce absolute scope3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services 25% from a 2020 base year.

Achievements:

In 2023, the Simplo Group’s absolute scope1 and 2 GHG emissions are 78% lower than the 2020 base year.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The 17 goals were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which promotes countries around the world to achieve the goals.

Goal:

Follow the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and focus on the core advantages of SDG 3, SDG 5, SDG 7, SDG 9, SDG 12, SDG 13, SDG 17, and draw up a blueprint for sustainable strategies.

RE100
RE100 is the global corporate renewable energy initiative bringing together hundreds of large and ambitious businesses committed to 100% renewable electricity.

Goal:

Simplo joined RE100, and committed to using 100% of renewable energy by 2040.

Achievements:

In 2023, the Simplo Group's use of renewable energy accounted for 65%.
